Candidate for ISBA 3rd Vice President |
Dear ISBA Members,
I respectfully ask for your support in my candidacy for ISBA 3rd Vice President. As a lifetime active member of the ISBA, I have been an elected member of the Assembly since 1985 and the Board of Governors for 23 years, serving as both Secretary and Treasurer of the ISBA. I have been appointed as Chair and member of multiple Section Councils, Committees, and Special Task Forces.
Throughout my legal career, I have represented clients and built professional relationships across the entire State of Illinois. I understand the issues that Illinois attorneys face every day, whether they are beginning their legal career or have been practicing law for years; whether as a sole practitioner in a small town or practicing with a law firm in a major city. For more than 40 years, I have met the demands of running a small law office, including payroll, bills, taxes, and coping with the stress of day-to-day operations and clients. I have also raised five children, giving me an understanding of the challenges faced by parents who must also devote time and energy to managing busy careers. I am proud that two of my children are currently attending law school and pursuing careers as attorneys.
I am dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of our lawyers and our profession. With your vote, I can help the ISBA provide the benefits, services, and opportunities that Illinois lawyers need throughout their careers.
As ISBA 3rd Vice President, I am committed to:
